PASTEL COLOURED PLASTER
Ever wondered how you get that pastel coloured effect in your castings? I've tried all sorts of additives and up until now the best I've come up with is to use MATT (NOT silk or gloss etc!) paint. Again - WATERBASED!!! For example, if you want pastel blue, then choose a DARK BLUE matt paint and add a bit of this to your water and mix in thoroughly before adding your plaster. (You'll have to experiment to see how much you need, depending on what shade you'd like). Be careful not to add too much paint, because this sometimes makes the plaster go all stodgy and unpourable! Try experimenting with just a small amount of water/paint/plaster first!
